'UofL for Kids' Pediatric Health Care Project
Exposing Local Audiences to the Work of Global Leaders
University of Louisville turned to Kitestring to help highlight their pioneering work in children’s health and raise their local profile.
Powerful stories of hope
University of Louisville pediatricians are researchers and leaders in the world of children’s health, yet many of the group’s accomplishments were going completely unnoticed at a local level. UofL turned to Kitestring to highlight their pioneering work and help them stand out in their local health care market.
Kitestring created a series of four powerful video vignettes that told a story from both the patient’s and the physician’s perspectives. This approach allowed us to highlight the clinical thinking behind the research, while also conveying the emotions in a family’s quest for a solution to their child’s condition.
Putting lives into focus
As part of the project, Kitestring took still photographs and video footage. Using a photojournalistic style of photography, our team was able to draw audiences into the lives of the patients, giving them a better understanding of how important UofL’s treatment is to patients and their families.
Spreading the word
The response to these amazingly brave and uplifting stories has been significant and has allowed potential patients, referring physicians and Louisville residents in general to learn more about the outstanding achievements of UofL’s faculty doctors.
In fact, Kitestring is currently choosing the next round of stories to continue highlighting UofL’s latest achievements in medical research and the families it will impact.
