Showcasing the Broad Reach of a Metropolitan University
- The University of Louisville needed a 30-second TV spot, on a quick turnaround, to fulfill free media they received from the NCAA during football game broadcasts. The challenge was to develop a spot that appealed to a large and diverse audience, and showcase the vast reach of the university—from medical research to athletics.
Knowing there was very little time to shoot new footage, the video team utilized existing footage from a University of Louisville capital campaign video—shot just a few months prior. In addition, they coordinated with local contacts to obtain aerial footage of the city and university. To match the right tone and message of the script, the video team chose an authoritative voice over and synched the footage to match. Before you know it, a visually compelling story was born.
