National Center for Family Literacy Video
Telling the Stories that Make a Difference
The National Center for Family Literacy (now the National Center for Families Learning) wanted us to create a video that celebrated their 20-year partnership with the Toyota Motor Corporation. It was an unforgettable experience for our crew.
ALONG FOR THE RIDE
Kitestring was chosen to work with the National Center for Family Literacy to capture the stories of real people who had experienced the benefits of the Toyota Family Literacy Program. The endeavor was huge – six cities on both coasts in a matter of just three weeks.
The project emphasized the point of family literacy – to empower parents to make a lasting and positive change in their lives and the lives of those around them. The students, teachers and administrators highlighted in the video became the faces of the effort, creating an emotional atmosphere where the audience – and the benefactor, Toyota – could grasp the true impact family literacy has on individuals and communities across the country. The video premiered at NCFL’s national convention, which was attended by several Toyota delegates, including Dr. Toyoda.
