What we do
We bridge the gap between thought and reality.
In many cases, the lead time in a product development cycle far exceeds realistic manufacturing capabilities. So Kitestring CG’s virtual product development becomes invaluable in helping investors, customers and collaborators visualize and interact with something before it exists in the real world. Long before a product rolls off the manufacturing line, we can showcase a virtual version of it in a real environment. Or we can visually showcase a new product on the trade show floor, or in an elaborate video presentation, before its assembly facility is even built.
When it’s time to give the product the spotlight, Kitestring CG offers an eye-popping array of capabilities to make it happen. Virtual product demos take consumers inside in ways that the real world doesn’t permit. Animation enables the creation of fantastic, compelling stories with the product as hero. We work closely with clients (and quite often their engineers or product development teams) to gain a deep understanding of product attributes and what needs to be visually communicated. Our ability to make the “technical” visually approachable (and stunning) is a skill we’ve proudly honed.
Custom 3D Environments
The advantages of creating 3D environments are delightfully numerous. From one- to three-wall spaces, we’re not limited by design or budget constraints – because there is no materials or labor! In addition to an impressive crew of CG artists, we also have talented resources like stylists and architectural designers who can help create an amazing environment. Plus, with a digital environment, you can swap out materials and products (or, really, anything) without spending a lot of money - and it looks like a completely new space.
One particularly strong area within our CG department is simulation of fluid materials. They feature challenging dynamics and require a lot of experience to execute with realism. In addition, our teams have applied fluid simulations in a variety of environments that are simply impossible to capture on video. For example, water inside a working dishwasher or fuel inside a jet engine. Imagine the possibilities!
We cannot overstate the impact CG can have on the creation of a video concept. It can unleash the imagination! In fact, we’ve often been referred to as the “favorite team to work with” among creative or marketing departments because anything is possible with Kitestring. The results are (quite often) web videos or broadcast TV commercials that stand out, break the visual and marketing clutter and tell compelling stories in novel, original ways.
How we do it
Collaboration is our specialty.
Unique mix of skills
Everyone in the Kitestring CG group has their own particular area of focus, but they also have the ability to help out wherever they’re needed. This unique mix of specialization and shared skills ensures each project gets the support it deserves. It’s part hive mind, part football team and part surgical consultation suite.
The human eye can pick up on even the subtlest shifts in light and texture, which is why Kitestring CG works with photographers to match camera settings, light temperatures and even F-stops between the real and virtual worlds. This synergy enables the use of real environments and backdrops when shooting products that may not even exist yet, so creative assets can be produced long before the product hits the market.
